Greg Montgomery

Mr. Montgomery is a co-founder of the Abundant Power Group which was formed in 2009 to bring capital flows into the clean energy economy to accelerate the transition of our energy sector and economy to low carbon, clean energy and sustainable sources.

Mr. Montgomery has 35+ years in assisting privately-held business owners and entrepreneurs and their advisors in creating, growing, and capitalizing their businesses and monetizing the value in the same through devising and executing strategies in the capital markets.

Over the past 15 years, Mr. Montgomery has worked in the clean energy and environmental sustainability sectors, arranging capital formation strategies for financing of projects that generate sustainable energy and savings while reducing dependence on fossil fuels and the associated emissions to help mitigate climate change and conserving environmental resources. Through CleanSource Capital, Mr. Montgomery has been responsible for designing/administering 5 financing programs under the SAVES platform in AL, SC, NC and VA which provided $166mm in funding to support $458mm in financing for 134 ES Transactions.

Mr. Montgomery was the founder of Sustain RNG (deploying a proprietary anaerobic digester technology in agriculture) which has generated a 7.5x MOIC to date over 3 years and was a co-founder of Nacelle Solutions which has generated a 20x MOIC over a 5 year period (the leading field gas and biogas upgrading services provider in the oil and gas an renewable natural gas industries).

Mr. Montgomery received a JD/MBA from Tulane University and a BA in Environmental Sciences from the University of Virginia and holds law licenses in NC/MD as well as multiple securities licenses.

Shannon Smith

Mr. Smith is a co-founder of the Abundant Power Group which was formed in 2009 to bring capital flows into the clean energy economy to accelerate the transition of our energy sector and economy to low carbon, clean energy and sustainable sources.

Mr. Smith, as a founding principal of Blue Point Capital, has raised and managed two $400mm private equity funds including $84mm of energy performance investments that generated a 92% IRR and MOIC of 3.6x. He is no longer actively involved in Blue Point.

Mr. Smith holds a BA in Philosophy and Economics from Wheaton College. He was a Rotary Scholar at the Universite De Lille in Lille, France in French Language and History. Mr. Smith received his MBA from the Darden School of Business Administration at the University of Virginia.

Bailey Sanders

Bailey is a dedicated financial professional with a strong background in compliance, operations, loan servicing, and program administration.

Bailey has been with Abundant Power Group (Climate Capital Partners’ parent company) since 2016, holding various roles. Since 2019 Bailey has managed the administration of the SAVES Programs including loan compliance and servicing, program management and administration, and operational oversight.

Bailey holds Bachelors of Arts degrees in History and in Historic Preservation and Community Planning from the College of Charleston.
